Ellen has represented New Zealand in both netball and volleyball in her age group. She attended Villa Maria College in Christchurch and was a member of the team that won the 2008 NZ Netball Secondary Schools Championship.

She was a member of the NZ Under 21s from 2007 - 2011 and is now in the 2011/2012 NZ Accelerant Squad.

Ellen was an integral part of the 2010 Fastnet Ferns in bringing home the gold medal, and the Canterbury A team winning NPC in both 2010 and 2011. This will be her fifth season with the Tactix.    

In her spare time, Ellen loves to indulge in cooking and baking cupcakes. She also spends a lot of time with her puppy Quincy.
